can recommend for a short-term stay
Charming hotel, stunning grounds, and the welcoming staff made my one-night stay enjoyable, especially with the delicious breakfast and the comfortable double room that included a kettle for making tea.
I did not find any significant drawbacks during my stay.

The building's historical decor grabs you immediately, with tasteful Christmas decorations that don't overwhelm the charm of the place. The room felt cozy—a fusion of modern comfort with vintage touches, reinforced by The White Company toiletries that add a delightful touch.
Wi-Fi connection dropped frequently, making it difficult to stay connected. While the bed in the Executive Suite looked inviting, it presented some creaking issues, perhaps due to its age, which could bother light sleepers. breakfast costs are additional and can catch you off-guard, especially since the meal itself was overly greasy, not aligning with the otherwise upscale vibe of the location. Sipping drinks took longer than expected due to slow service at the bar, which seemed hindered by a lack of available staff, disrupting the evening mood.

We loved the family-friendly atmosphere at the Holdsworth House. The kids enjoyed the fun literary events, and we appreciated the beautiful gardens where our small dog could roam freely. Not to mention, the varied dining options were a delight for everyone.
In my wife’s opinion, more kid-friendly activities would be a plus.

Perfect for family gatherings
The venue is truly charming, especially the stunning gardens that feel like a slice of paradise. I really enjoyed the afternoon tea with excellent service and delicious treats, though a bit bland for my taste.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but still fair for what you get.

Beautiful stay with exceptional staff
I had a lovely overnight stay in an executive suite, where the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and meticulously clean, which made my visit feel special. Breakfast was delicious, featuring freshly made options that set a great tone for the morning. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was a bit unreliable during my stay.
